Folding doors are suitable for smaller shower enclosures, whereas sliding doors are better suited for larger ones.

Folding Doors
Folding doors-also known as bi-fold or accordion doors-are a common type of shower enclosure door. They operate by sliding along a track and folding to open or close. Their key advantage is their space-saving design, making them ideal for compact shower areas. Additionally, they are less prone to leakage, effectively containing steam and water during use. However, the door components are susceptible to wear and tear, requiring regular inspection and maintenance.

Sliding Doors
Sliding doors are designed for larger shower enclosures. They operate by sliding along a track, which requires more installation space and track hardware. Compared to folding doors, sliding doors can be larger in size, offering easier access and a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. They can also feature protective seals to prevent moisture and leakage. However, sliding doors have a more complex mechanism, require more installation space, and are more susceptible to issues caused by a damp or dirty environment; improper installation can easily lead to leaks.
